GET TO KNOW ME

I am standing for Council because I believe our community deserves a strong, local voice that listens, communicates and delivers practical outcomes.

I have lived in this area for 17 years after immigrating from the UK with my family, and like many residents, we chose this community for its lifestyle and sense of belonging. This is our home, and I care deeply about protecting and improving it for current and future generations.

For more than 15 years I have volunteered locally, including with Connolly Primary School and the Connolly Residents Association. Through this experience, I have seen first-hand that communities thrive when everyday residents feel heard and included in decision-making. I want to help make Council more accessible and responsive to the people it serves.

My 22 years of service in the RAF Auxiliary Regiment shaped my values of discipline, integrity and accountability. These principles guide how I approach responsibility and decision-making, and they are values I would bring to Council.

As a former small business owner, I understand the importance of managing budgets responsibly and delivering value for ratepayers. My professional background as a real estate agent has also strengthened my ability to advocate for our suburbs and support people in building strong connections to where they live.

This is a crucial time for the City of Joondalup. We must act now to position ourselves as the second city hub after the Perth CBD. By attracting jobs, government services and investment, we can revitalise our CBD while ensuring our suburbs are planned for the future.

I am local, practical and reliable, and I am ready to represent our community with an evidence-based approach that ensures local voices are heard.
